Day 1 – Reunion & Breton Atmosphere: ~30 km | 500 m+

We will welcome you from 12:00 PM in a charming Breton house located in the village of Poullaouen. If you are arriving by train, a shuttle transfer from Guingamp station (around 11:00 AM) will take you to your accommodation in Brittany.
In the afternoon, you can get your bearings during a scenic cycling ride in Brittany around Poullaouen to acclimate to the fresh Breton air. The evening will begin with a traditional Breton dinner, carefully prepared using local produce. In this authentic and warm atmosphere, you will meet the rest of the group, as well as your guide and the GravelUp support team.
Your adventure begins in the heart of the Monts d’Arrée, a wild and striking landscape, blending heathlands, rocky ridges, and breathtaking panoramas. You will ride along beautiful rolling tracks, with a few more technical sections through the Huelgoat Forest, perfect for getting your bearings at the very start of the trip.
Along the way, you will encounter dolmens, menhirs, and isolated chapels, all witnesses to Brittany’s rich and mysterious history. From the top of the ridges, the view over Lake Brennilis and the surrounding peatlands will provide an unforgettable moment before heading to your second accommodation for a warm evening featuring local specialties.
Head towards the rugged coasts of the Crozon Peninsula, with steep cliffs and hidden coves. Along coastal trails, picturesque villages, and historic remnants tucked into the landscape, every turn tells a story of Brittany’s legends and history.
The day alternates between rolling sections, technical stretches, and breathtaking ocean views, offering a full immersion into wild and authentic Brittany, where every pedal stroke is a new discovery.
Explore the dramatic Breton cliffs and the protected nature reserves of Crozon, where rugged landscapes meet pristine coastline. Along coastal trails, hidden coves, and wild landscapes, each turn reveals a new glimpse of Brittany’s natural beauty and heritage.
The route alternates between rolling sections, technical stretches, and stunning panoramic views, offering a complete immersion into wild and authentic Brittany, where every pedal stroke brings a fresh discovery.
For this final half-day, the route is shorter but just as scenic, perfect for enjoying one last immersion in wild Brittanybefore heading back toward Guingamp.
Your stay will conclude around 3:00 PM, followed by a transfer to Guingamp station for 5:00 PM.

How to get there?
There are two ways to reach your trip:
• Arrive by your own means and go directly to the meeting point indicated. • Arrive by train or plane. In this case, we organise a shuttle between the arrival train station or airport and your accommodation.

With us, there’s no stopwatch. We start together and we finish together. To help every rider find the adventure that suits them best, we offer 5 difficulty levels, from 1/5 to 5/5, detailed below. The level of each trip is shown at the top of its page, on the header photo. Please note: all our trips are open to e-gravel bikes (available for rental in all our destinations). Our groups include both traditional and electric bikes to ensure a smooth balance of pace.

Booking
Not at all! Our expeditions do not require previous gravel riding experience. Our itineraries are designed to be accessible to all, as long as you have a spirit of adventure. You may have to carry or push your bike on some short sections, but that's part of the Gravel Up adventure!
Please note: Our hire bikes are the latest spec models and are meticulously maintained for your comfort and safety. They are the ideal bikes in terms of comfort and safety for all our adventures
Practicalities
You will be accommodated in charming hotels, chalets, or renovated former shepherds’ cottages, carefully chosen for their comfort, history, and the authenticity of their hosts!
Booking
We prioritize small groups of 8 to 12 participants to encourage meaningful interactions and maintain the friendly spirit of the trip.
Traveling in a small group also allows us to minimize our impact on the trails we use and to respect the territories we pass through.
Safety
Our guides are carefully chosen based on their experience and local knowledge of each region to guarantee you an unforgettable adventure. All our guides have French State validated bike qualifications. They are also French levels 1 and 2 first aid trained as you would expect.
Booking
You may change the date of your trip free of charge up to 30 days before departure. You may also cancel your booking at any time prior to the start of your trip. The following conditions will then apply:
More than 90 days before departure → 75% refund, or a 100% credit of the amounts paid, valid for the next 12 months
Between 60 and 90 days before departure → 50% refund, or a 75% credit of the amounts paid, valid for the next 12 months
Between 30 and 60 days before departure → 25% refund, or a 50% credit of the amounts paid, valid for the next 12 months
Less than 30 days before departure → No refund, or a 50% credit of the amounts paid, valid for the next 12 months
You may also take out cancellation insurance with our partner Chapka Insurance. This option will be offered at the time of booking. More information about the insurance is available here.
Please note that a Trip Credit cannot be converted to a refund at a later date.
