GravelUp is much more than just a gravel travel concept. It’s the perfect blend of flawless organization, shared joy and effort, the discovery of new horizons I had never explored — and above all, meaningful human connections.

Andalousie avis séjour

GravelUp: a band of druids who concoct a magic potion designed to give you superhuman strength. These irreducible Gauls even took the liberty of welcoming - during this Andalusian session - 2 Romans who still haven't recovered from what they've seen and experienced... Here are the exclusive ingredients of this well-kept recipe: a team of pros (Abraracourcix & Boufiltre), guides (Asterix & Amenix) who fine-tune the tracks and pamper the bikes, landscapes to feast your eyes on, spit-roasted wild boar galore, riders on the edge of their seats and good humor at every level. Veni, vidi, vici

We were in Sevilla, Spain - It was the first time, for me, on a Gravel bike. The experience has been excellent. Challenging from the athletic point of you, interesting in the touristic / cultural aspects and a huge injection of relax, staying so many hours in open air in contact with the uncontaminated nature and many many animals: cows, bulls, dears, sheep, horses, vultures... The participants were coming from different places in Europe and US, but we got on very well! Then our guides: competent, friendly and always willing to support, accommodate and hear our needs / wishes. In short a very positive and battery charging experience

What an adventure!!!! Five-star gravel trails (hence the rating 😉), incredible landscapes, just the right amount of elevation gain, generous and delicious snacks and dinners, and a staff that’s as friendly as they are attentive. In short, the concept is great (we knew that), but the reality is even better. A big bravo to GravelUp, and see you again soon.

Day 1 – First Andalusian Pedals ~ 33km / 650D+

Upon your arrival in Seville, our local guide will welcome you and take you to our stunning basecamp: Dehesa Don Pedro. A pick-up is scheduled at 12:00 for those arriving at the train station or airport.

After a delicious lunch and introductions, it’s time to hop on your bike for a first taste of the adventure.

A scenic descent leads to the village of Santa Maria de Nava, along a canyon-like road, before joining gravel tracks that wind between oak groves and cattle farms. We return to basecamp at the end of the day to enjoy a first relaxing moment under the Andalusian sky.

Day 2 – Crossing the Sierra Morena ~ 79km / 1080D+

Start the day with a yoga session and a hearty breakfast before heading out towards Cazalla de la Sierra, famous for its vineyards and eucalyptus forests.

We leave the basecamp and cross the Sierra Morena, with a first stop in Puebla del Maestre, then dive into the heart of the mountains via a remote desert track — a total change of scenery.

We’ll stop for lunch and a visit at the Ermita del Ara, a hidden gem nestled in the hills.

In the afternoon, we reach the mountain village of Cazalla and settle in at Posada del Moro, a cosy family-run hotel and restaurant where you’ll discover the richness of local Andalusian cuisine.

Day 3 – From Forest Trails to Orange Groves ~ 76km / 770D+

We head east through eucalyptus forests toward Constantina and its hilltop castle, following a 100% gravel route deep in nature.

The ride alternates between quiet country roads and wide gravel tracks, sometimes a bit technical but always rewarding.

As the landscape opens up, we swap forests for endless orange and olive groves — a striking shift in scenery.

We end the day in Palma del Rio, where we’ll stay in a beautifully restored former monastery. Time to cool off with a dip in the pool and a well-deserved drink!

Day 4 – From the Valley to the Mountains, Heading to Córdoba ~ 85km / 1180D+

The final leg takes us all the way to Córdoba! We start the day riding through citrus groves on our way to Hornachuelos, a picturesque hilltop town.

Then we continue toward La Breña reservoir, with stunning natural landscapes unfolding around us.

In the afternoon, we ride along the GR48 trail, surrounded by rugged hills and traditional bull-breeding farms — a true taste of rural Andalusia.

We finish the day in Córdoba, where a relaxing evening and overnight stay await at Finca Los Abetos, a peaceful hideaway on the outskirts of the city.

Day 5 – Final Ride Around Córdoba ~ 22km / 320D+

Our last day on the bike is all about soaking up the Andalusian sun one last time, with a relaxed 22km loop around Córdoba.

We’ll pause for coffee at the iconic Mezquita in the city centre, then ride along the scenic Guadalquivir River, which flows all the way to the Atlantic Ocean.

After one final moment back at the hotel, we head off for the transfer to Seville. Expect to arrive at the train station or airport by 5:00 PM. A beautiful adventure comes to a close — but the memories are here to stay.
