AN ITINERARY CREATED EXCLUSIVELY BY GRAVELUP

We’ve done the exploring to discover three day rides from our basecamp on blissfully quiet trails. You’ll be amongst the pioneers of gravel riding in these parts!

Our basecamp is the Dehesa Don Pedro, a traditional Spanish finca (farm) lovingly renovated into a boutique hotel by Jean Pierre, the director. He and his team will welcome you, and treat you to their local specialities and exceptional service.

Each ride is lead by one of our qualified and experienced guides, allowing you to focus on the ride and enjoy this beautiful region. From secret farm tracks to sweeping vistas, there’s a bit of everything here, all topped off by tapas and local drinks.

The combination of wide smooth tracks with the rolling landscape makes the Sierra Norte an ideal destination to try out gravel riding and get off the beaten track on an adventure.

It’s not just about the bike though! Downtime and relaxation are important parts of all our trips, with yoga and meditation sessions for you to join if you would like. It’s all designed to help you get the most out of your long weekend in an exceptional location.

Whether you’re new to gravel riding, or a seasoned pro looking for a winter adventure in the sun, this is the perfect bike trip. You’ll discover a little known part of Andalusia where nature, local culture and gastronomy are an important part of life and just a stone’s throw from the bright lights of Seville.

Physical preparation

The territories we cross offer an environment that can sometimes be demanding depending on the weather conditions. We evolve in a mountainous landscape where the cumulative difference in altitude can quickly be important.

To fully enjoy this expedition, we recommend that you practice an endurance sport such as jogging, swimming or cycling, at least once a week. Having already done at least 3 hours of cycling will allow you to feel more comfortable and to better enjoy the breathtaking landscapes you will cross.
