Café du Cycliste and GravelUp join forces to offer a unique expedition beyond the tarmac of the Côte d’Azur. This three-day gravel bike expedition will tackle wild dirt tracks and gravel climbs in pursuit of traffic-free adventure by bike. Expect dust, 40mm tyres, and lots of testing terrain.

Held from April 29 to May 2, 2022, this is a limited capacity event, designed exclusively for the Café du Cycliste community. 

To help you travel light, we offer top end gravel bikes to rent for the expedition.

Price: 1500 euros excluding travel to and from Nice, and excluding gravel bike rental.

Your guide

In love with the Provence region, our guide is eager to make you discover the tracks of the Nice backcountry.

As a bike mechanic, he/she is the best person to help you discover the region. Anecdotes, encounters and sharing of experiences, he/she will make sure that you have an unforgettable stay and above all that you soak up as much as possible of this fabulous territory.

Spoken languages: French, English

State certified for bicycle accompaniment (BPJEPS), he/she will ensure your safety and will share with you various tips and tricks on how to ride on gravel paths.

How to get there?

  • By train: Nice TGV station (shuttle at 6pm / return at 5pm)

  • By car: Meeting point directly at the Base Camp in Nice (from 8pm)

  • By plane: Nice Cote d'Azur International Airport (shuttle at 6pm / return at 5pm)

As soon as you arrive, our team will pick you up and take you directly to our base camp where the disconnection can begin.

Your stay starts at 8pm and ends at around 3pm on Sunday.

We're excited to have 3T as our brand bike partner for this event, supplying a fleet of Exploro Gravel bikes for your riding pleasure. Like us, they're joyriders at heart, who share a love for creating unforgettable experiences in the saddle. 

The Exploro Gravel bike can handle any surface, from asphalt to singletrack to steep trails. An all-road spirit, but with aggressive geometry and aerodynamics that feel almost identical to a road bike.
