MANDATORY EQUIPMENT FOR CYCLING
1 helmet
1 pair of bicycle gloves
your bike computer mount (if you're bringing your computer)
1 water bottle
gravel or MTB shoes compatible with Shimano SPD if you don't have them and you want to equip yourself, here's a selection here at various prices if you don't have them and you want to ride with flat pedals, sports shoes can be suitable (indicate this in the questionnaire or via email at bonjour@gravelup.earth)
1 pair of sunglasses
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT FOR CYCLING
1 cycling shorts
1 cycling jersey or sports t-shirt (short or long sleeves depending on the weather on D-Day)
A waterproof jacket in case of rain
A light windbreaker
1 pair of socks Sunscreen
A light neck gaiter
PERSONAL EQUIPMENT OUTSIDE OF CYCLING
Comfortable evening attire
A sweater, a light down jacket
Comfortable shoes like sneakers
A swimsuit
Chargers (phone, bike computer...)
IF YOU BRING YOUR OWN BIKE
🚨 Reminder: If you decide to bring your own bike, please note that we only accept Gravel-type bikes on our trips.
We require a complete bike inspection (brakes, derailleur, tires) to be carried out within 30 days before departure, and it should be equipped with at least:
Gravel-type tires with a minimum width of 40mm
Disc brakes
Appropriate gear ratios (we recommend a gear ratio like 11 / 42)
Furthermore, in addition to the mandatory and recommended equipment listed above, you will need to bring the following equipment with you:
1 repair kit including:
1 compatible derailleur hanger
2 inner tubes
1 multi-tool
2 quick links for the chain in case of a breakage
1 small bike bag to carry your belongings
1 spare tire (if your wheels are equipped with 650 tires)

IF YOU RENT A BIKE WITH GRAVEL UP
You can travel light! No need to bring anything more than the mandatory and recommended equipment listed above.
Important: Make sure to bring your own pedals if the cleats on your shoes are not compatible with Shimano SPD. ⚠️
For even more comfort, you can bring your own saddle (without the seat post). We can attach it to our bikes.
