From La Bresse, we're taking you on a 3-day gravel biking adventure to (re)discover this mountainous massif nestled between lakes and fir forests!
What to expect on the bike? 3 days of exploring the massif in a star pattern around our magnificent base camp. With a total of 150km and about 2000m of elevation gain, this stay is accessible to occasional cyclists looking to explore a territory on moderately difficult terrains. The spirit of the stay: no timing, no competition, "we leave together, we return together".
Base camp: Located 2km from the village of La Bresse, you will be welcomed and accommodated in a comfortable wooden chalet, right in the heart of the Vosges massif. You will appreciate the comfort and serenity that emanates from this magical place in a cozy and refined atmosphere. Beautiful evenings in perspective with a view of the mountains. Your hosts will be eager to introduce you to the history, local culture, and heritage surrounding them.
Beyond biking: our stays are not limited to gravel biking. We invite you to let go! Well-being moments – yoga, meditation relaxation – are on the program. You will explore picturesque villages and taste the local cuisine.

Your Guide
You will be guided by Tim, a native of the Vosges who grew up walking the length and breadth of the Vosges massif.
Tim is passionate about their territory and is definitely the best person to help you discover this amazing region. He will make sure that you have an unforgettable stay and above all that you soak up as much as possible of this fabulous territory.

He or she will make sure you are safe and will share with you various tips and tricks on how to ride the Vosgian trails.
Base camp & destination manager
You'll be welcomed and accommodated in a comfortable log cabin in the heart of the Vosges mountains, near La Bresse. The chalets can accommodate between 6 to 8 people and feature an ideal living room and a large outdoor area to gather after a great cycling day and share a convivial moment. You will be sure to enjoy an evening with a view of the mountains.
On-site, in addition to your guide, you will be accompanied by our GravelUp destination manager. He or she will make sure you don't miss a thing, and provide all the logistics and support you need to make your stay the most enjoyable possible.
Our bikes
We have both traditional and electric high end gravel bikes available to rent in Ventoux from our bike partner Origine.Extra price: €60/day for a non eBike, €80/day for an eBike. supplement to be added during your registration process).
Repeatedly voted Gravel Bikes of the Year, you can choose between the carbon framed Graxx (weighing only 8.1kg) or the Help eBike (not much more at 12kg). Both combine performance and versatility in a lightweight frame so that you can have faith your steed throughout the trip.
Note : Origine is offering you the first day's hire of your bike, fully refunded if you decide to buy a Graxx or Help afterwards. It's the perfect opportunity to try out these bikes for real before making a potential purchase.
You engage in physical activity at least twice a week.
You are able to undertake bike rides of at least 4 hours (at a leisurely pace).
How to get there ?
By car: Meet us directly at our Base Camp in La Bresse on Thursday evening at 8pm at the latest. Plan to end your stay on Sunday afternoon around 3pm.
By train: organized shuttle service from Remiremont station - contact us to confirm times in advance (plan to arrive at the end of the day). Plan to return on Sunday afternoon around 5pm.
As soon as you arrive in Remiremont, our teams will pick you up and take you directly to our base camp, where the disconnection can begin. Don't worry about a thing, we'll take care of everything!
Yes, our trips will go on paths and small roads where neither road bikes nor mountain bikes will be suitable.
You can bring your own gravel bike or hire one from ours. Our well specced bikes with tubeless tires means a much lower risk of punctures and mechanical problems during your trip.

Level
We have 3 levels of expeditions - you can find them on this page HERE by clicking on the "Compare the levels" link. These levels have been designed to enable as many people as possible to join one of our trips. Our expeditions are adventures, not races. We start together and we finish together, it's the GravelUp speed.

How do you choose your guides and are they qualified?
Safety
Our guides are carefully chosen based on their experience and local knowledge of each region to guarantee you an unforgettable adventure. All our guides have French State validated bike qualifications. They are also French levels 1 and 2 first aid trained as you would expect.
What is the cancellation policy?
Booking
You can change the date of your trip free of charge up to 30 days before departure. You can also cancel at any time before the start of the trip subject to payment of a cancellation fee. If the cancellation occurs:
More than 90 days prior to Departure => Receive a Refund of 75% of all payments already made (including deposits) OR a Trip Credit of 100%
Between 61 and 90 days prior to Departure => Receive a Refund of 50% of all payments already made (including deposits) OR a Trip Credit of 75%
Between 31 and 60 days prior to Departure => Receive a Refund of 25% of all payments already made (including deposits) OR a Trip Credit of 75%
30 days or less prior to Departure => No Refund OR Trip Credit of 50%
Please note that a Trip Credit cannot be converted to a refund at a later date.
To protect yourself against last minute cancellation, we advise you to subscribe to our cancellation insurance through our partner Chapka insurance, with a guarantee which also covers you in case of contracting the Covid-19. Please note that such insurance can only be subscribed within 48 hours following the order of your trip. Subscription link available here.
Important:the realisation of the trip is conditional on the registration of a minimum number of participants to guarantee the departure. We commit ourselves to confirm a trip at the latest 30 days before the departure date. In the event that the trip cannot take place because the minimum number of participants is not reached, you will be reimbursed for any sums paid but will not be entitled to any compensation. You will be informed by email whether or not a trip is confirmed.
