State certified for bike guiding (BPJEPS), he/she will make sure you are safe and will share with you various tips and tricks on how to ride the Vosgian trails.

Gravel bike

We propose you on this destination the Gravel 3T Exploro

A Gravel bike that can handle any surface, from asphalt to singletrack to steep trails. An all-road spirit, but with aggressive geometry and aerodynamics that feel almost identical to a road bike. But it's really off-road on our unique tracks that you'll see its versatility, offering comfort and control. Its weight, very modest for such a robust bike, helps a lot on steep climbs.

Equipment

The complete list will be sent to you a few weeks before your expedition. You will find here the few essential items that you may not have at home:

  • Cycling shorts with chamois to be more comfortable

  • Bike gloves to avoid blisters

  • Cycling shoes

Physical preparation

You are about to experience an Explorer expedition. This is our red trail but the territories we cross offer an environment that can sometimes be demanding depending on the weather conditions. We evolve in a mountainous landscape where the cumulative difference in altitude can quickly be important.

You need a certain technical / cycling background or a strong experience in an endurance sport like running.

To get the most out of this expedition, we recommend that you practice an endurance sport such as jogging, swimming or cycling several times a week.

Having already done long bike rides of at least 4 hours will allow you to feel more comfortable and better enjoy the breathtaking landscapes you will cross.

At least 2 days in a row of cycling experience is a plus.

Use of automatic pedals is mandatory, ability to maneuver the bike on all types of terrain and good braking technique.

How to get there ?

  • By train : Mulhouse train station

  • By car : Meet us directly at our base camp at La Bresse.

As soon as you arrive, our teams will take care of you and drive you directly to our base camp where the beyond biking experience takes its full meaning. The disconnection can begin, do not worry about anything, we take care of everything!

On your first day, we will meet you at 3pm.

For the last day, plan a departure at the end of the morning and enjoy a well deserved rest.

GravelUp, creator of gravel bike adventures and trips.

Like you probably, we fell in love with the gravel bike. It started with a few outings, just like this to see, then it became a regular practice until creating this crazy project that is GravelUp: a gravel bike trip agency.

Together, we invite you to go on a gravel bike adventure, exploring the wonders of mountain ranges all over Europe. Stays of all levels so that everyone can find their dose of pleasure or personal challenge, but always on a gravel bike!
